Thirdy Mobile Site

Mobile Web UX Design

Thirdy is a website that helps people find third spaces with an emphasis on sober or sober-friendly places.

Many adults have chosen to cut back or completely cut out alcohol consumption and are having trouble finding sober-friendly things to do with friends in the evening or at night. Finding a solution to this issue can save many adults from reverting to or relying on alcohol consumption to socialize, which can lead to an overall healthier well-being.

This project covers the voice-activated search functionality on the mobile site. Play around with the prototype by clicking on the link to the left.

To begin the voice-activated search on your mobile device, click the voice command button in the search bar. The button will turn black and switch into listening mode. Now that the voice command is activated, ask what you’re looking to find. Location, distance, date, and time can be included in the request.

Once the search completes, a list of results will be shown at the bottom of the screen. A map in the center of the screen will show pinpoints of the search results. Clicking a pinpoint will highlight the associated result thumbnail below. Clicking on the thumbnail will send you to the event page.

The event page provides detailed information about the event. Events can be liked, shared or bookmarked. The buy tickets button redirects you to the purchase page of the event.
